I take my roleplaying rather seriously, and I know others may not. Sometimes I keep a note pad next to me when I play and I take notes.
I.E. - If you tell my character (Bill) your character's name (Sue), I may write it down so I know that they have exchanged names. Thus meaning if I log-in with another character (Duke), he will not know Sue's name.
Just because you know someone has a character in a faction guild, you cannot prove that those two characters have ever interacted together--because by game mechanics--they cannot be logged in at the same time from the same account. If a player wishes to say their current character know their other characters, that is up to them.
Meta-gaming - Taking information that you know as a player and giving it to your character without proper event happening. ***Please do not do this, it can and will ruin RP for others.***
